Touchdown at Cool-mar

What's up!

It's 3pm and I finally got here - at the most beautiful city in Europe.. Colmar, France! It's my first time to be here. Reached here about few hours ago and just checked into a hotel. I'm going to travel around the city by tomorrow. It looks like I'll be pleased here, I can tell you it's a really nice place to be :D

I've see plenty of beautiful stuff here on the way from the airport. Also, I took some snapshots of beauty and colourfull sceneries I saw, and.. damn amazing! :O I really look forward to see many more during my quality time here, which about a week and four days long. Uuhh, can't wait to spend my vacation here!!

Oops it is time - I'm going to take a walk around the hotel with my family and my girl :p I'll send you emails about my activities here, take care of yourself. Here's a photo, enjoy :D

Aloha!
Guess what-now I'm writing in Bora-Bora! Yup, i'm here, like i've told you last week that i'm going to spend my holiday here! Can you believe it? Honestly i cant believe it at all. The view here is soooo UH-MA-ZING! The ocean is blue; the water is so clear. Here, the sun shines everyday, so i think i'll get tanned when i get back to home, teehee :-P

Got here by Air Tahiti, arrived in Bora-Bora Airport, I directly went to Hilton Bora-Bora Nui Resort and Spa. We were warmly welcomed by the Tahitian Dancing, performed by the local citizens.

We've been here for 2 days; yesterday I was snorkeling and scuba diving; and today i'll do jetski, kitesurfing, and swimming, and maybe take a little walk to see the view around here. By the way, I have to go now! My laptop's battery is low, and I've got so many things to do! I'm going to spend another 3 days, so don't miss me! Really, I wish that we could spend this fantastic holiday with you right now! I'll send you some photos later, and I'll reply your replies as soon as possible, bye! :-)

New York, New York!

Hey!

Guess what, I just arrived at JFK airport! Yeah, now I’m in New York City! Can you believe it? Come to this astounding city it's one of my biggest dream and finally, that dream came true. I'm so thrilled of seeing these stunning concrete jungles. I will stay in NYC for 3 weeks. I will see many well known districts and landmarks in New York City like Time Square, people call it "The crossroads of the World", Broadway theater, Central Park, the most visited urban park in the United States, and other New York's famed. I can't wait to taste serendipity frozen hot chocolate. Weird huh? Hot and frozen at the same time, but I heard it's so appetizing with its delightful overflowed chocolate and mountain of whip cream which seems very tempting.

Well, there are lots of places that I want to visit and things I'd like to do, but of course I can't tell you one by one right now. Wish you were here so that we can experience these memorable moment together. I think I have to stop right here. I'm going to take my luggage, I'd better hurry. Catch you later! :D

Hallo!
Now am in Bali! I was arrive here two days ago and it seems to be a great place. I'm so glad to be here, it's so relaxing. The weather is so hot with sunshine all day long, but I do not really want to get a sunburn here. There are so many beautiful place here, I am sure you will love it.

I have been touring for two days now, I have had so many great experiences. I have been eating at "Jimbaran" at the first day than at the second days I have been go to "Bali Bird Park", there a lot of beautiful birds there, I really like the peacock it's just so unique. I have been go to Kuta Beach too! The sunset was fascinating and I've got some photo in there.

I have to finish now! I'm going to see some Kecak Dance now. I am going to stay in Bali for another one day then I am off to Jakarta. I will write again as soon as possible. Bye!

Teenagers' Point of View (Final Draft)

This report presents the summary of what Indonesian teenagers think about their country. The approach accomplished by asking five of my friends and the questions are about culture, film industry Indonesia.

Culture in Indonesia

Indonesian culture is well-known of its varieties and authenticity. There are many astonishing cultures in Indonesia. All of five friends that i've asked, said that they are very proud of Indonesian culture. Unfortunately, Indonesian culture is lack of attention. Two out of five said that to make indonesian culture known is by making program to promote Indonesian culture to the world and to make people interest to Indonesian culture. Three out of five answered to preserve the Indonesian culture is by studied the culture such as traditional dance, sinden, etc. Another way to inherit our culture is by teaching others about Indonesian culture.

Film Industry in Indonesia

Nowadays, most of teenagers like watching movies. Whether at the cinema, watch dvd's or simply watch television. All of five friends said that the film industry in Indonesia has a poor quality. Recently, the government made a limitation of imported films, and all of them disagree with this policy, because with its policy there's no quality movie to be watched. Of course not all of Indonesian movies are that bad. Most of Indonesian films itself gives us nothing but improper general views. So, they like to see more foreign movies instead of Indonesian movies.

The conclusion of this report are, teenagers in Indonesia proud of their culture. And all of them prefer to watch foreign movies than domestic movies.

Wiil It Be Possible To Live Forever?

In My Opinion,No And Never,why? For Theis like me, The Holy Book told that Every soul will taste death. People who believe they can live forever in the future is too much watching Sci-Fi Movies, well take a look to your Computer,it's consist from a lot of part like Processor,Motherboard,Ram,Harddisk etc.just like Organ in human, well the part of computer have a durability,if it's broken we must replace or service it, but will we always replace or service it? The computer will finally broken and cannot be repaired, and we must buy a new computer,just like human our organ has a time for living. When our organs cannot work optimally, it will disturb another organ. And when our organs cannot work anymore we will die.

In the future i think medical technology will improve greatly,but no one can match the cleverness of God,so for a people who want to make an immortal machine,you better create different useful machine.

All great person in the world like Prophet Mohhamed S.A.W,Jesus,Buddha,Hitler,Newton,Edison,Napoleon,Da Vinci,Plato even atheis like Lenin and Marxis they all wasn't live forever

Hello! My name is Athira Presialia from XB, and yesterday I interviewed 6 of my friends, about what is popular with teenagers in Indonesia. I chose 3 topics, and there are music, foods, and movie. And here's the result from my interview.

MUSIC

People love music. There are many genre of music, like classic, pop, jazz, metal hardcore, rock, RnB, etc. The majority of my friends said that they like to hear pop music, and the other love RnB and indie music. Almost entirely said that Indonesia’s music development is undeveloped, and it’s rare to find some band or singer who is trying to make something “out of the box”.

FOOD

Indonesia is so rich of it foods. From Sabang to Merauke, each place has it own signature food. Here, I interviewed 6 of my friends about their favorite food from Indonesia. Well, for food i got many variants of answer. There are kerak telor from Betawi, Mie Aceh from Aceh, Nasi Liwet from Solo, Pempek from Palembang, Sate Padang from Padang, and Soto Betawi from Betawi.

MOVIE

Nowadays, teenagers love to hangout with their friends, and sometimes went to cinema to watch movies. Not only the Western movies, but now they also watch Indonesian movies. 2 of my friends said that they favorite Indonesian movie is Laskar Pelangi. The other chose Petualangan Sherina, Catatan Harian Si Boy, Fiksi, Ayat-ayat cinta and Kala. They all agree that to make a good movie, it depends on it scriptwriter, the script, the casts, and the director. Eventhough Indonesian movies are great, they had some advices for Indonesia Movie Industry. The majority of the answer is that Indonesia should decrease the horror movie, and start being creative. So, the audience will not be bored with the theme, and they will more respect Indonesian movies.

The conclusion is, that most of my friend likes pop music, and they still like Indonesian food. Also, each of them have their favorite Indonesian movie, and they give an advice for Indonesia Movie Industry to make movie in this country keep better and better.

Will There Still Be School and Teachers In The Future?

What is school? School is a place to educate ourself. There are two types of education, formal and informal education. Formal education teach the students from the syllabus, while informal education consists of the norms and values acquired from the school environment, such as doing what you are told and acceptance of a hierarchy. Sociologists often call informal education the "hidden curriculum" .

Years ago, there were only private school and public school that offered. Private and public school belong to conventional schools. The weakness of conventional schools are: bound by school rules, always in the classroom so the students often get bored, just aim the pursuit of high achievement index, more theory than practice in the field. To solve this issues, the expert made some breakthrough by making unconventional schools, for instance homeschool and school of universe.

School of universe has a concept of nature based education. In this school students not only learn from teachers, students not only learn in class. They learn anywhere and to anyone. They not only learn from books but also learn from the natural surroundings.

Homeschooling or homeschool often called home education. Homeschool is the education of children at home, typically by parents or by tutors. The benefits of homeschooling are provides a healthy learning environment and increased opportunity for family bonding. The negative sides of homeschooling are homeschoolers will be at disadvantage when applying for employment or college, lack of proper socialization.

Nowadays' technology influence our life including the way of learning. With internet we don't need to study in the classroom, using textbook or face to face with the teachers. It enables us to study anywhere we want, download the material of study and we can use webcam or chat to interact with the teachers. This way of learning called e-learning.

In the future e-learning will spread and used globally, so there will be less formal school. But we still need formal school to interact and socialize with others. In conclusion, whatever your view on education, it is clear that schools are one of the most important agents of secondary socialization. We are still human afterall.

My name is Dina Ramadhanti from XB, I have interviewed five of my friends in the class which is all girls, the question is concerned about technology and culture. The aim of this report is to inform what the opinions and favorite teens about technology and culture.

TECHNOLOGY

This time technology is important, almost everyone has a wide range of technologically advanced electronic devices. The most favorite technologies for the teenager are mobile phone, laptop, and iPod, because these three things are the most important thing for communication or doing homework. Currently this technology is important to life. The positive side of technology is that it can make it easier to get some new information, but technology has also a negative side that we can be addicted to.

CULTURE
Currently we're not so surprised to see the development of globalization in Indonesia, so many cultures from other countries that entered Indonesia without first sorted. According to my friend there are some foreign cultures coming into Indonesia but not so in accordance with Indonesian culture that is fashion and relationships. They have their own way to maintain the culture of Indonesia in order not displaced by foreign cultures such as studying and practicing the Indonesian dance, promoting the product in country, and to make Indonesia more attractive culture.

The conclusion is that most of my friend like technologies such as mobile phones, laptops, and iPod, they suggest the technology has its positive and negative sides, my friend also has their own way to the business and culture of Indonesia is not displaced by foreign cultures

"Will there still be schools and teachers in the future?", formal school in the future

These days school have some types, for example are public and private school, this formal school usually have the building as well as students and teachers who come to school to learn. But now there is a fascinating idea for education learning, homeschooling. You can learn like other formal school like usual but you do not have to go to school!

Homeschooling is easier than public or private school but homeschooling have some negative side which is students only learn about theory they do not have some practice, students also do not do social interaction directly to teachers and friends, and students have less experiences.

Homeschooling also have the positive side which are we can save more time and energy because we do not have to go to school and we can study quite simply at home, homeschooling is very useful for children who are busy organizing their time.

The conclusion is homeschooling is a program of teaching and learning which is very useful but we will not be separated by the existence of formal school, because we still have to do some interaction with friends and teacher. So at the future I think formal school is still always be exist.

What comes on your mind when you hear or see the word “school”? Yup, school is a place for student to study. These days, there are types of school, like public school, private school, homeschooling, or even you can learn by yourselves with e-learning. In public school and private school, you can meet eye-to-eye with your teachers, so you can directly ask your teachers. There’s also homeschooling. Homeschooling, also called home education, is a type of school which the student doesnt have to come to school, but they call tutors to come to their house. Along with the development of technology, nowadays, we can find a simple way to study by ourselves with an internet facility called e-learning.

It is true that e-learning is a simple way to study, because we don’t have to carrying and reading books, go to school. All subjects are available in e-learning, and it is more interesting than listening to teachers in school.

However, e-learning has some negative side. People who used e-learning as their study method, wont be able to connect with friends, socializing with people. Either public school or homeschool builds connection between the students and the teacher, so it creates socialization. But e-learning, you can only interact with your computer, but as humans we have to interact with others, because human is a social creature.

To conclude, I think there will still be teachers and schools in the future. Because as a social creature, we still have to study and also interacting with other people.

Will It Be Possible To Live Forever?

The first thing passes in my mind is, "Impossible, definitely no". In the movie or drama, live forever sometimes dreamed by the antagonist role or those people who thirst for power, wealth, and people who always want more. They take a long time to get all of that, therefore, to live forever be the first thing they want.

I don't know what many people in real life take respond and how world's going to if there's such thing which can make us live forever in the future. But maybe there are some bad people who also dreamed of it. Be immortal, invincibility, if that such things really exist, crime would be seriously increased.

Maybe in the next a hundred years.. approximately, there's some machine or medicine, that can make us immortal. But how if we the only one who has the ability to live forever, what would we do when we've already got what we want?, with whom will we be when everybody near us are dead? We'll just be alone and lonely, in other word, meaningless.

So I say, we should be grateful to not live forever. Only God who has the right of it. Life is precious because it has limit, that limit that make us struggle. Therefore, don't waste your time, use it well. Nobody knows when will we die, except God. Do the good things as long as you live, be matter. Don't regret for what has past, be better for the future.

I'm Ihsan Aring Trisarjono, class X-B. This morning I interviewed 4 friends of mine via blackberry messenger about what their opinion in these 3 topics, which are, gadget, music, and movie. So here we go.

Gadget

On a day just like this maybe we've heard the words said "World without gadget is no world". So I asked my friends, what do they need gadget for. And some said that they prefer the functions like phone or SMS and the others choose the facilities such internet, camera, games, etc. in this case we take sample handphone. And well.. They use their handphone can be a whole day, or just in needed. And from its functions and facilities, they like to chat, listen to the music, camera, or browsing the internet.

Music

Who doesn't love music?, I guess everybody should love it. Me and my friends as well, they do love music, some friends like pop music, rock music, it depends on their taste. They just like to hear it but a few said that they wish to play it in instruments such as guitar or piano. And most of them told me that they listen to music when they got bored, do you think music can decrease boredom?

Movie

Besides music, people love to watch movie. And that's me and my friends. Generally, they love to watch action movie, comedy, and for the girls, they usually like romantic movies. Mostly, people watch movies in cinema or theatre with their friends, or family, girlfriend or boyfriend, etc. But not a few also who likes to watch movies from dvds in their home. Well.. The good things is they can rewind or pause they favorite scene, hehe. And yeah, lot of people love to watch Hollywood movies rather than Indonesia has. As you know, Indonesian movies mostly are horror. But it's not all of it, Indonesia still has a lot of good and educating movies, such as Laskar Pelangi, Serdadu Kumbang, Nagabonar jadi 2, etc. And I say, keep up the good work Indonesia #PrayForIndonesianMovies.

In the end, each student has their own interest and way of life. They can use their gadget as they want, listen to their favorite songs, and watch their favorite movies without no one can forbid them. I'm Ihsan Aring Trisarjono and this is Black and White (?).

Movies

Most of teen in the world love to watch movie, i asked 8 of my friend and all of them said they love watch movie it isn't strange for me cause movie is a new way to entertain ourself. Ussualy Boy's love watch Action,Thriller,Horror and Comedy film,while the Girl's love watch Drama and Romantic Movie. Then i asked their opinion about indonesian movie now,from 8 people only 1 people said indonesian movie is not bad,and the other's said "indonesian movie is suck", well i think most of Indonesian movie now is terrible,but not all of them is bad, movie like Merah Putih Trilogy,Laskar Pelangi,Ayat-Ayat Cinta is a example of good movies from indonesia

We all know that the government is banned all holywood movie cause the importer didn't pay taxes from 1995(except Hary Potter and Transformer),well we still had a tons of indonesian movie but like i said only a few thats nice, a director like Riri Riza,Hanung Bramantyo,Yadi Sugandi etc can make a fine movie but can' their movies replace all banned holywood movie??? the answer is impossible for now
